The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty

From the author of the critically acclaimed What Alice Forgot comes a breakout new novel about the secrets husbands and wives keep from each other.

My Darling Cecilia
If you're reading this, then I've died . . .

Imagine your husband wrote you a letter, to be opened after his death. Imagine, too, that the letter contains his deepest, darkest secret - something so terrible it would destroy not just the life you built together, but the lives of others too. Imagine, then, that you stumble across that letter while your husband is still very much alive . . .

Cecilia Fitzpatrick achieved it all - she's an incredibly successful business woman, a pillar of her small community and a devoted wife and mother. Her life is as orderly and spotless as her home. But that letter is about to change everything, and not just for her: Rachel and Tess barely know Cecilia - or each other - but they too are about to feel the earth-shattering repercussions of her husband's devastating secret.

I've been meaning to read this for quite a while. So when I found out I needed to read this for a Twin TBR challenge, it was like ok I can do this.

Well, I started to listen/read this and found the characters quite weird, confusing and not sure where they were heading. Rachel is a 60 yr old widowed woman who lost her daughter 20 odd years ago. Tess is mother of a young boy who's father wants to be with someone else and flies to help her mother and meets up with an old flame. Cecilia is a beautiful & vibrant woman with 3 daughters and a wonderful husband.

SECRETS are meant to be kept secret. What is this letter that Cecilia finds one day will break her whole world and the other 2 women involved as well. The epilogue will have you gasping and saying "No, that couldn't happen". I wasn't as keen on reading/listening to this as the story was partly boring at the beginning and middle part. I might not remember parts of the story in the future, but it was an ok book.
